Paul Gallant

Paul Gallant joined Cowen Washington Research Group in August 2016 covering TMT policy. He held previous positions at Guggenheim Securities, MF Global, Concept Capital, Stanford Financial, and Schwab Soundview. Earlier, Mr. Gallant served as legal advisor to the Chairman of the FCC. He has also served as legal advisor to two other FCC commissioners.
Mr. Gallant has previously held senior government affairs positions with Qwest Communications and Broadband Office, Inc. In an earlier stint at the FCC, he helped draft the regulations that opened the cable TV and local telephone markets to competition. Before joining the FCC, Mr. Gallant also served as a staffer for a U.S. Senator. He received a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from Catholic University.
