Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Analyst Charles Robertson Joins Cowen’s Equity Research Department

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nov. 17, 2014–
Cowen Group, Inc. (“Cowen”) (NASDAQ:COWN) today announced that Charles
Robertson II
has joined Cowen and Company’s Equity Research department
as a Director to cover oil & gas exploration & production (E&P) stocks.
Mr. Robertson is based in New York and reports to Robert Fagin, Cowen’s
Director of Research.

“Charles is a fixture in the energy investment community,” said Mr.
Fagin. “His deep relationships and over 20 years of experience investing
in the energy sector are a natural fit with Cowen’s mission to deliver
sophisticated and thoughtful equity research.”

Mr. Robertson joins Cowen from Millennium LPBlue Arrow Capital, where
he was a portfolio manager focused on the energy sector. Prior to
joining Millennium, he was a portfolio manager and equity strategist
focused on energy at Tudor Investment Corp. Mr. Robertson also spent 17
years in various capacities at Bass Brothers, the majority of which was
focused on energy investing.

Mr. Robertson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of
Maryland, Baltimore County
