Derek Cherney

Derek Cherney is Managing Director and member of the Strategic Capital Group at TD Cowen, where he is responsible for advising private equity firms on M&A, debt and equity financings. Previously, Derek was in the Financial Sponsors group at William Blair, advising private equity firms in a similar capacity. Prior to that that, he was in the Debt Capital Markets group at TD Cowen, where he originated and executed fixed income transactions. Before TD Cowen, he was at The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and CIT group across both investment banking and leveraged finance.

Derek graduated with a BA from Amherst College.
