Lance Vitanza, CFA

Lance Vitanza is a cross-capital structure analyst focused on the TMT sector. Mr. Vitanza joined TD Cowen in 2016 as part of the acquisition of certain businesses from CRT.  He joined CRT in 2010 as a senior research analyst covering the media & telecommunications industries. He was previously a principal and senior analyst at Knighthead Capital Management, a $3 billion credit-distressed hedge fund he helped launch in June 2008. Prior to his two years at Knighthead, Mr. Vitanza spent five years as a senior analyst on the distressed / special situations desk at Concordia Advisors, a global, multi-strategy hedge fund headquartered in New York City.

Prior to working on the buy side, he spent five years as a leveraged finance banker, including positions as an associate at BT Alex. Brown and as a vice president at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Vitanza began his career working for Dr. Arthur B. Laffer at his San Diego-based economic research and consulting boutique. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics from the University of Southern California.
