Nate Chandra is a Managing Director and member of the Strategic Capital Group at Cowen, where he leads West Coast Financial Sponsor Coverage. He is responsible for managing the firms relationships with Private Equity firms, Family Offices, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Venture Capital firms, Founder Owned Businesses, and Independent Sponsors, in addition to advising on M&A, divestitures, debt and equity financings, and other strategic transactions.
Previously, Mr. Chandra was a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Westhook Capital, where he was responsible for investment origination, in addition to developing and managing relationships for the firm globally. Prior to that, Mr. Chandra was a Vice President at Platinum Equity. At Platinum Equity, he focused on originating large cap, middle market, lower middle market, and special situation investment opportunities in North America and Australia. Before Platinum Equity, Mr. Chandra was at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Chandra holds a BA in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
