Senior Semiconductor Analyst Joins Cowen Equity Research Department

Timothy Arcuri to Cover Semiconductors and Semiconductor Capital
Equipment

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oct. 22, 2012–
Cowen Group, Inc. (“Cowen”) (NASDAQ: COWN) today announced that Timothy
Arcuri
has joined the firm’s Equity Research department as a Managing
Director to cover Semiconductors and Semiconductor Capital Equipment
companies. Mr. Arcuri, based in San Francisco, reports to Robert Fagin,
Cowen’s Director of Research.

Mr. Arcuri returns to Cowen after a previous career at the company from
1998-2000. He most recently served as a senior analyst at Citigroup,
covering Semiconductor Capital Equipment, Alternative Energy and
Biofuels since 2004. Prior to this, he was a senior analyst at Deutsche
Bank
for four years covering Semiconductor Capital Equipment. Mr. Arcuri
has been a top ranked analyst on Institutional Investor’s All
America Research Team over the past eight years. He holds an engineering
degree from Villanova University.
