Parker Johnson Joining Ramius as Managing Director, Sales and Marketing

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ramius LLC, (“Ramius”) the global investment management business of Cowen Group, Inc. (“Cowen”) (Nasdaq:COWN), today announced that Parker Johnson will be joining the firm as Managing Director, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Johnson will manage institutional relationships across the Ramius platform, with a special focus on Ramius Alternative Solutions. The Alternative Solutions group, led by Stuart Davies and Vikas Kapoor, offers sophisticated hedge fund investment services including portfolio completion, optimization and hedging as well as a suite of accessible, cost effective, hedge fund-style investments called Ramius Liquid Portfolios.

Mr. Johnson has 25 years of experience advising clients on hedging strategies and has significant knowledge of strategies including hedge fund of funds, managed futures and replication. Mr. Johnson began his career as a trader at Bellwether Futures Corp., a subsidiary of Tudor Investment Corp.
