Cowen Group Announces New Hire in Technology Research Group

Gregg Moskowitz Named Senior Analyst Covering Infrastructure Software
NEW YORK, Feb 24, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Cowen Group, Inc. (“Cowen”) (Nasdaq: COWN) today announced that Gregg Moskowitz has joined the firm as a senior analyst covering infrastructure software. Mr. Moskowitz will be based in New York and will contribute to the technology sector of Cowen’s Research group.

Mr. Moskowitz joins Cowen and Company with ten years of experience as a research analyst, on both the buy and sell sides. Most recently, Mr. Moskowitz was a Managing Director at Auriga, where he was responsible for the software and business services sectors. Previously, Mr. Moskowitz developed his sell-side capabilities at Susquehanna and UBS, where he focused on infrastructure software. Mr. Moskowitz received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
