Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leading on all aspects of financial regulatory reporting of two FCA regulated UK entities. This will include compliance with MifidPru regulations for quarterly regulatory filings, continuing the evolution of our reporting processes, framework and policies for the new MifidPru regime, responsible for implementing the appropriate systems and automation for daily and monthly reporting, and leading the finance work for the ICARA and stress testing frameworks.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly regulatory filings pursuant to MifidPru regulations including support schedules and other analysis’s, for two UK entities
  • Responsible for daily capital reporting to ensure the Prime business is operating within limits
  • Supporting the ICARA process, including provision of financial and capital information, stress testing analysis, wind down planning and liquidity - will be a lead member of the ICARA working group. Preparation of Pillar 3 document.
  • Identify and addressing regulatory reporting requirements for new products that the business has in the pipeline (e.g. equity derivatives)
  • Continue the development of regulatory reporting procedures and policies for the new UK IFPR regime, ensuring we are compliant with new rules and regulations
  • Implementation of increased automation for our daily and monthly reporting processes (with assistance from technical resource from the vendor)
  • Prepare and file other required regulatory reports on a timely basis, including but not limited to, CMAR client money reporting
  • Assisting with audit requests and responding to regulatory inquiries
  • Participate in the implementation of new analytical and reporting processes, procedures and controls – especially in relation to upcoming new products
  • Establish department policies and procedures as well as timing and deadlines


  • 10+ years’ experience in a regulated financial services firm performing an regulatory reporting role within finance
  • Excellent knowledge of Bipru / MifidPru regulations, as they pertain to financial regulatory reporting (e.g. solid understanding of K-factors, FOR, ICARA etc) will be an essential requirement
  • Experience within a broker dealer and / or prime brokerage business would be highly preferable + knowledge of global markets products e.g. equity derivatives, synthetic swaps, FX options
  • Exposure to various controls testing of Compliance and Regulatory risk, Credit Risk, Market Risk and Operational Risk Frameworks
  • Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) would be highly preferable
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of public company Sarbanes-Oxley controls and importance of adherence to them
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work within deadlines while still providing a high-quality work product
