2023 Investment Banking Full-Time Analyst Program

Program Description

We are considering candidates for opportunities in New York, San Francisco, Detroit (Birmingham) and Dallas as part of Cowen's 2023 Investment Banking Full-Time Analyst Program. 

Cowen analysts can expect a fast-paced, demanding work environment that offers the opportunity to learn and grow professionally. Analysts work in small deal teams on a wide range of transactions. From initial client contact through closing a transaction, our analysts are an integral part of the transaction process; researching, valuing, pricing, marketing, and structuring transactions.

The Analyst Training Program, which begins in early July, provides a five-week introduction and orientation to the firm and its capabilities. The curriculum includes coursework in accounting, communication skills, debt and equity capital markets, Excel, financial analysis, modeling, and valuation primarily taught by Wall Street Prep. The last week includes preparing for and taking the Series 79 top-up exam. The program is thorough, combining the substance of a much larger bank’s training program with the personal attention found in a seminar.

The position requires a minimum two-year commitment. Outstanding performers will have the opportunity to be promoted to Associate level positions after their second year.

To qualify as a candidate for Cowen's 2023 Investment Banking Analyst Program you must expect to graduate no later than June 2023.

We offer analyst opportunities in New York, San Francisco, Detroit (Birmingham), and Dallas. Opportunities will vary by group and location; interviews will be group specific and process will differ between locations. If selected to move forward to an interview, you will be notified which group and location you are being considered for.
