Commission Management Analyst

Job Overview:

Cowen’s Westminster Research business is looking for a Commission Management Analyst in the CT/NY area. The successful candidate will work alongside Westminster’s Institutional Sales and Operations teams, in a team-oriented environment with opportunity for advancement in the Sales & Trading organization.


  • Play a key support function for all of Westminster’s Institutional Sales and Operations teams.
  • Aid the team with client inquiries via both phone and e-mail communications as needed.
  • Communicate with external broker dealers to reconcile trades and resolve breaks.
  • Payment administration and maintenance (wire and ACH preparation and documentation).
  • Manage new vendor onboarding / due diligence processes.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as directed by Sales and Operations teams to further develop and support growth of the business.
  • Manage key data analytics and keep internal business systems updated on a regular basis.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0-3 years of experience in either Sales and/or Operations support or some form of financial services role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including a high degree of comfortability with Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet critical deadlines with high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communications skills to ensure prompt and professional approach when working with clients and colleagues.
