Job Overview:

Cowen is seeking a seasoned candidate to provide support to our Cross-Asset Sales and Trading business.    


  • Liaise with trade counterparties, agent banks, legal counsel (both internal and external) on private unregistered securities and esoteric trading settlements
  • Research reorganizations to define the settlement process
  • Coordinate with Restricted Securities team on Prospectus sale processing and settlements
  • Oversee timely and accurate Trade capture of both Par and Distressed bank debt trades
  • Work closely with ClearPar contacts, trading desk, and legal counsel to manage loan trading activity and settlements on loans
  • Knowledge of multiple asset classes
  • Responsible for supporting HY, IG, Convertible bonds, Bank Debt and Special Situations businesses
  • Familiar with the Medallion Stamp Program
  • Handle confidential documents and correspondence
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial services
  • Experience with Transfer agent settlement processes
  • Experience with Bloomberg a plus
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Thrives in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
