Equity/Cross Asset Product Management – Associate

Cowen is seeking a detail oriented individual to work on our equity/cross asset product management team.

Our equity/cross asset product management team is tasked with shaping the commercial message and facilitating the distribution of our equity research product across multiple sales and trading desks. The successful candidate will work closely with our research analysts in order to build and manage the research pipeline, understand and scale specific sector and stock ideas, and spot opportunities to create additional equity product and content. Candidate responsibilities will also include analyzing news and market trends that impact covered companies, and running equity screens to identify stocks that meet specific fundamental investment criteria and strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-4 years of finance experience in sales, research, banking and a comfort discussing financial statements and valuation
  • A genuine interest in markets and a desire to learn about the investment process
  • Good critical thinker with strong organizational, communication, reading comprehension and writing skills
  • Follows-up to ensure completion of projects and meets critical deadlines  
  • Series 7 & 63 required or willingness to get one in the first 6 months
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Bloomberg proficiency a plus

The position is based on the NY Sales and Trading desk with time split between NYC and Summit, NJ offices.
