Accounts Receivable Analyst

Cowen Inc. is looking for a new Accounting Analyst to join its Accounting team in Lake Mary, Florida. 

Job Functions:

  • Manage billing cycles for multiple business lines
  • Communicate directly with clients and brokers regarding monthly invoices
  • Collaborate with back-office teams and trading desk to resolve discrepancies.
  • Process internal journal entries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Follow up with clients and brokers on outstanding receivables
  • Perform analysis of incoming payments
  • Maintain bookkeeping database and spreadsheets updating information as needed
  • Perform customer account reconciliations

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of the financial services industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
  • Workday experience is beneficial
