Bill Bird

Bill Bird is Head of Thematic Content and a member of Cowen’s Research Management team. He has more than 20 years of experience in equity research and investment management. He also spent 4 years as a strategy consultant. Mr. Bird is an 11-time Institutional Investor All-America Research analyst and has been a recipient of The Wall Street Journal’s “Master Stock Picker” award and “Best on the Street” award.

At Cowen, he is responsible for adding to the impact of Cowen’s research content, with particular focus on our Ahead Of The Curve® Series and other deep-dive work, industry analysis, and private company reports. In collaboration with Cowen’s industry-leading analysts, Bill’s work applies a wider lens to develop a comprehensive view of the key themes that cut horizontally across sectors, moving beyond the limitations of sell-side research’s vertical industry classifications.

Mr. Bird graduated from Harvard University with a BA. He earned an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder.
