Edward Nash is a managing director and member of the biotechnology equity research team. He joined the firm in March 2011. He had most recently been a senior research analyst at ROTH Capital Partners. Mr. Nash was with Stifel Nicolaus & Co. (formerly Legg Mason) for five years as a principal covering the biotechnology sector. Earlier in his career, Mr. Nash was associated with Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., Commerce Capital Markets, Inc. as well as Lazard Freres, LLC in their equity research departments, also focusing on biotechnology. Shaun Rodriguez is a research analyst covering life science tools and diagnostics companies. Prior to re-joining Cowen in 2011, Mr. Rodriguez was a senior investment associate at the Partners Innovation Fund, the venture capital arm of Partners HealthCare, where he evaluated and executed on early stage investments across the health care sector. While at Partners, he was also a member of the business development group, where he focused on strategic initiatives in diagnostics and clinical genomics. Mr. Rasbach majored in biology at Denison University, received an MBA from The Citadel, and received Pharm.D. and Ph.D. degrees in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina.
