Dan Charney

Mr. Charney is Managing Director and Head of Equities for Cowen and Company. Mr. Charney joined Cowen from Jefferies where he most recently served as Managing Director and Head of Global Electronic Trading Services as well as Head of U.S. Salestrading. Before joining Jefferies, Mr. Charney was a Managing Director and head of West Coast equity distribution at UBS Securities and he held various other positions in the financial services sector earlier in his career.

He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at University of California Berkeley.

Philip Cushman

Mr. Cushman is Managing Director and Head of Equity Sales for Cowen and Company. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Cushman served as a Managing Director and Head of Global Equity Product Management at Jefferies, as well as a member of Jefferies’ Equity Operating Committee. Prior to joining Jefferies, he served as an Executive Director in Morgan Stanley’s Equity Sales group. Before that he was at WR Hambrecht + Co, where he served as Head of New York Institutional Sales. Mr. Cushman began his career in equity sales at Cowen in the 1990s.

Mr. Cushman holds a degree in History from the University of Colorado.

Mike Rosen

Michael Rosen is Managing Director – Global Co-Head of Prime Brokerage Services of Cowen Prime Services, LLC. Mr. Rosen co-founded Concept Capital Markets, LLC and until its acquisition by Cowen Group, Inc. served as a Managing Member of the firm. During his tenure with Concept Capital, Mr. Rosen was involved in the management of all aspects of the firm’s operations, with a particular emphasis on business and client development and technology implementation. Mr. Rosen also served as a member of the Board of Managers of Concept Capital Holdings, LLC, the company’s former parent, of Concept Capital Administration, LLC, which provided administrative services to the company and its affiliates, and of ConceptONE, LLC, which provides risk and performance analytic solutions, middle and back office support services, and regulatory reporting services to investment managers. Mr. Rosen, who started in the investment business in 1985, has broad experience in prime brokerage services, portfolio management, equity research, and investment banking. He has been affiliated with the firm and its predecessors since 1997 and co-founded Whiteford Advisors, LLC, an investment management business. As a Managing Member, Mr. Rosen co-managed several pools of funds under that umbrella through the end of 2005. His career began as an equity analyst at Drexel Burnham Lambert covering the aerospace and defense industries and conglomerates. He subsequently moved to Smith Barney to cover the same groups. Mr. Rosen then joined Steinhardt Partners, L.P.. After working at Ethos Capital Management, Inc., as a portfolio manager responsible for a wide array of industries ranging from industrials to the consumer sectors, Mr. Rosen joined Lazard Freres, LLC and helped drive that firm’s effort to build up its capital markets business. Mr. Rosen graduated Johns Hopkins University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

David Seaburg

Seaburg is a Managing Director and Head of Sales Trading at Cowen and Company. Over the course of his 20+ year career at Cowen in both Equity Sales Trading and Trading, Mr. Seaburg has advanced to increasingly senior level roles at the firm. In 2006, Mr. Seaburg was named Head of Sales Trading and appointed to the firm’s Equity Operating Committee. Mr. Seaburg is a CNBC Contributor and provides regular on-air market commentary for the network.

Mr. Seaburg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Finance and Economics from Northeastern University.

Jack Seibald

Jack Seibald is Managing Director – Global Co-Head of Prime Brokerage Services of Cowen Prime Services, LLC. Mr. Seibald co-founded Concept Capital Markets, LLC and until its acquisition by Cowen Group, Inc. served as a Managing Member of the firm. Mr. Seibald also served as a member of the Board of Managers of Concept Capital Holdings, LLC, the company’s former parent, of Concept Capital Administration, LLC, which provided administrative services to the company and its affiliates, and of ConceptONE, LLC, which provides risk and performance analytic solutions, middle and back office support services, and regulatory reporting services to investment managers. Mr. Seibald has been affiliated with the firm and its predecessors since 1995 and has extensive experience in prime brokerage, investment management, and investment research dating back to 1983. From 1997 to 2005, Mr. Seibald was also a Managing Member of Whiteford Advisors, LLC, an investment management firm, where as co-founder he co-managed several pools of funds. He began his career at Oppenheimer & Co. as an equity analyst covering the retailing industry and has also been affiliated with Salomon Brothers, and Morgan Stanley & Co in similar positions. Mr. Seibald also operated The Seibald Report, Inc., an independent research firm specializing in the retailing sector. Mr. Seibald serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Kingstone Companies, Inc. a publicly traded insurance holding company, and of Kingstone Insurance Company, a New York property and casualty insurer. He holds an M.B.A. from Hofstra University and a B.A. from George Washington University.

Kyle Solomon

Mr. Solomon is Managing Director and Head of Institutional Options and Event Driven Strategies for Cowen and Company. Prior to joining Cowen in 2011, Mr. Solomon served as Managing Director at RBC, CIBC and Oppenheimer in the same capacity. He started his career at RNYS, the brokerage arm of Republic National Bank, in 1994.

Mr. Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pennsylvania.

Andrew Stein

Mr. Stein is a Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading for Cowen and Company. Prior to joining Cowen in 2006, Mr. Stein was a Director and Head of Technology and Telecom Trading at CSFB. Prior to that, Mr. Stein was a Vice President and Equity Trader at Lehman Brothers.

Mr. Stein holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cornell University.

Burt Welly

Mr. Welly is Managing Director and Head of Special Situations Sales and Trading for Cowen and Company. Mr. Welly joined Cowen in 2016 as part of the acquisition of certain businesses from CRT Capital. Mr. Welly spent 14+ years at CRT Capital Group LLC helping to build their Special Situation and Reorg Equity business. Mr. Welly served in various senior roles at the firm, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading.

Mr. Welly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University.
