John Barton joined Cowen in April 2006 as a Senior Research Analyst covering the semiconductor industry. Prior to that, he was a senior analyst following semiconductors at Wachovia Securities, and before that Mr. Barton covered the semiconductor industry for Prudential Securities. Before coming to Wall Street, Mr. Barton spent 13 years in various design, sales, and management roles in the semiconductor industry. Mr. Barton has an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering.

    Peter Goldmacher is a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst. He joined Cowen in 2004 and has experience working in the computer industry as well as on Wall Street. He started his career at Oracle, working for six years in variety of departments including sales ops, consulting, marketing, and finance, and he has also worked at BMC Software as Director, Corporate Planning and Strategy. Mr. Goldmacher had a brief stint at a start-up company called Callidus Software before joining Merrill Lynch as a research analyst in 1999, where he covered core technology as well as backed up the lead analyst on the large cap, infrastructure and apps software names. Just prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Goldmacher was senior software analyst at IRG Research, a subsidiary of TheStreet.com. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.

    Moshe Katri is a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst. He joined Cowen in 1999 as the lead analyst in the computer services sector. His coverage includes diversified and specialized outsourcing, consulting, and systems integration vendors. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Katri was an executive director at Warburg Dillon Read LLC, where he led the research effort in IT services. Prior to his career on Wall Street, Mr. Katri served as a military intelligence officer in the Israel Defense Forces. He received a B.S., finance and information systems; an M.B.A., international business; and is an M.A. candidate in French politics, all from New York University.

    Raj Seth is a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst covering the communication IC, semiconductor equipment, and design automation sectors. Prior to joining Cowen, Mr. Seth was a principal with the Parthenon Group, a strategic advisory/investment firm. Before business school, Mr. Seth designed high-performance ASICs for LSI Logic. He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, an M.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell, and an M.B.A. from Northwestern (Kellogg). Mr. Seth was a Wall Street Journal Best on the Street winner in 2002, 2004, and 2008.

Mr. Stone has more than ten years of broad-based industry experience in high-tech and medical products manufacturing, sales and marketing, and PC systems applications and integration.     Jim Friedland is a Director and Senior Research Analyst covering the Internet and new media sector. He joined the firm in 2004 and has more than 16 years of experience covering media, telecom, and Internet companies. Previously, he worked at WR Hambrecht + Co following the Internet sector. Mr. Friedland has also worked at Robertson Stephens, Volpe Brown Whelan, and Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder, where he covered the media and entertainment, telecom, and Internet services sectors. He was named a winner of the Wall Street Journal Best on the Street poll for stock picking in 2010. He has a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at NYU.

    Gregg Moskowitz is a Director and Senior Research Analyst specializing in the infrastructure software industry. Before joining Cowen in February 2010, Mr. Moskowitz was a senior software analyst for Auriga. Prior to that, Mr. Moskowitz was a senior technology analyst for Level Global Investors. He has also spent seven years covering software companies for Susquehanna International Group and UBS. Mr. Moskowitz began his career with Arthur Andersen in tax accounting. He earned an M.B.A. with distinction from the Stern School of Business and a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a CPA.
