Prior to joining Cowen, he spent a year at Moors & Cabot and six years at SoundView Technology Group/Schwab SoundView, where he was ranked by Institutional Investor as a top 10 analyst in the wireless telecommunications equipment space. Prior to joining SoundView, Mr. Hoffman led Gartner Dataquests Americas mobile phone/infrastructure research team. Mr. Hoffman began his career in the wireless industry with three years at Ericsson, first leading the companys American Standards global mobile phone market analysis and product research teams, and then later managing marketing for Ericssons Wireless Internet group.
